Beach, Birthdays & More!

We have had quite a busy schedule the past few months. London finished out her first school year at First Lutheran with a small program where all the kids sang and danced for the proud mommies & daddies out in the crowd. We've also attended quite a few 2nd birthday parties of her friends from school...Amelia held her party at The Little Gym which London LOVES, and Ashby's was at her house in Colfax with a large bouncey house that we all found fun and exciting! There were a ton of kids jumping and bouncing all over the place! With the little down time that we've had with my job, when I say down time I mean that a poor girl cancelled her wedding so I had a slow week, we escaped to Sunset Beach for a mini vacation. We didn't get enough beach time as we would have liked, just a little tease, but it was enough to relax for a day and enjoy our little nugget running around in the sand.

In other news, I am about six months pregnant now. The heat is about to kill me and I haven't even begun to feel the blazing summer sun...and I'm really not looking forward to that. But, I can't really complain because everything is going great and our little man is very active these days. Now if I can just get through the next few weekends of weddings, my summer vacation will begin!

Enjoy the MANY pictures below of our recent events :)

Baby #2 is....

A baby BOY! We (especially London) are all very excited about our newest addition being a little boy. Although I will have to admit, I don't know what to do with this information. I'm used to little girl clothes and changing little girl diapers. Having a little boy is going to rock my world :) But I can't wait!!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We had a fun filled weekend celebrating Easter with our church and our families, doing Easter Egg hunts, and just hanging out with everyone. London especially had a BIG Easter this year. In exchange for giving the Easter Bunny all of her pacifiers to give to little babies that really needed them, the Easter Bunny brought her all kinds of toys and treats, and some new movies! It was a little tough the first few nights without the paci but London is doing well without them now. During the day she asks a lot about them and when I tell her we don't have any she inquires about me talking to the Easter Bunny and making sure he gave ALL of her pacifiers to little tiny babies! We are so proud of her being such a big girl and life sure will be easier for the next few months not keeping track of her paci!!

In other news we go tomorrow to find out the sex of baby #2. We all have a feeling that we have a little boy on the way, but who knows! I was right about London, so we shall see tomorrow if I am right about this one. London is going with us to the ultrasound so we are very excited about sharing this experience with her.

Please enjoy our Easter pics below :)

Baby #2

After seeing our second little nugget squirming around today in our first ultrasound, we are happy to annouce that we have a healthy baby on the way. Our sweet London will be a big sister in September. She is already very excited about the news, as are we! I'll have to say, the idea of loving another child as much as we love our London Rose blows our minds, but I know we will. We have another month to wait before we find out if our little nugget is a girl or boy, but according to London there is no doubt that it is a boy. She wants a little brother! And she insists that we call him Frank after our dog. That won't happen, but it's fun listening to her come up with names :)

London's 2nd Birthday

Yes, we know...we are behind yet again. There are no excuses that we haven't already thrown out there as to why we are behind in our posts. The only thing I can say is that now that weddings are over until March, I have a few months to catch up!

Steve posted some about London's 2nd birthday in our last post. The following weekend we had quite the celebration at the farm with her new friends from preschool and her friends from Cary. We set up a bouncey house for the kids to play in, played some games and took a wagon ride down to the pond. Everyone, even the adults, had an awesome time! The next day, we celebrated again with family. London sang "happy birthday to me" for about a week after that!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

There are a ton of Christmas pictures so I had to take my favorites and put them into a collage otherwise I would be sitting at the computer for days waiting for all the pictures to upload. Enjoy...we did :)

These were taken at Christmas Eve & on Christmas morning. My
favorite is the top left...I'm digging the 80's morning hair!

Right before Christmas we had our first snow and of course
we went to Santa. She was into Santa but refused to sit on his lap.

Fall / Halloween 2010

Well, here we are, once again delinquent in our Blog posting. Been almost 2 months. I hope that we still have at least a couple people enjoying the pictures and stories of our little nugget's progression.

It's a BEAUTIFUL Saturday here in McLeansville. Crystal is working at the Holiday Market selling sauce. London and I got all of our chores done before lunch, had a couple of sammiches and she's knocked out in deep sleep. We are all so glad the Fall is here! Only 2 more weddings this year, and we are off til the Spring!

We celebrated (officially) her second birthday here last night at the house. We got her a little play kitchen this wedensday for her birthday, and she has been cooking and cleaning non-stop. She constantly makes us coffee, chicken and pizza in her pretend kitchen. It's adorable.

Here are a few pictures (not in the best order, due to blogspot not being image upload friendly) of last night.

London talking to Uncle Ricky who is off playing Army for a few days with the NC National Guard.

"MOM!!! Let me talk to Uncle Ricky!!!"

Running around like a crazy woman in her PJ's and the tutu that Rebecca made her.

I don't now what this face was all about, but somehow I caught it on camera. You see the space heater there because we have no heat in the house except for the wood stove. I tore out the unit 3 weeks ago and have been working every chance I get to get the ductwork in order under the house and the new unit installed. It's a little tough with a munchin following me around all weekend, though. Once C is off of wedding duty, I should be able to break away and get us some HEAT!

Don't ask me what she is doing here...

This is London's cat, Beans. We named her Beans so that we would have Frank...& Beans. Originally we named her "Wimbly" after a Fraggle Rock character, but decided to move that to her middle name instead due to the fact that "Beans" just fit.

Caught in the act trying to mess with Beans eating. She still has her birthday ice cream cake on her face.

Frank severely irritated that he is getting no cake.

Here she is Trick - Or - Treating with Addison (her friend from school Tucker's older sister). Addison wore her out!

L was a ladybug.

Here are our pumpkins. Frank ended up destroying the one with her initials.
