Baby update...Tomorrow I will be 37 weeks pregnant which means London can show up anytime now and we are hoping it will be sooner than later! Her room is pretty much complete except for a few touches here and there that I need to add. All of her laundry and blankets have been washed, our hospital bags are packed, and so now we wait, and wait, and wait!! :)

Happy Halloween!
Steve and I have not been able to make it to a pumpkin patch this year to pick out the perfect pumpkins to carve up on halloween. Fortunately there was a wedding at the barn and the bride and groom didn't feel like taking home all of the pumpkins they brought so Steve and I were able to grab about 8-9 different sized pumpkins! On the way home, Frank decided they looked delicious and began destroying the stems, and one ill fated pumpkin got somewhat eaten. That poor pumpkin became Frank's new toy and he was aboslutely hilarious trying to put the pumpkin in his mouth to carry it around the back yard.

Belly Photos
Last week I had a photographer friend of mine, Lynette come out and take some belly shots! She has shot quite a few weddings out at The Hayloft and is one of the photographers that I highly recommend to new brides so I thought she would be perfect for the occassion...and she was :) Here are a few of the pictures she recently posted on her blog. We have not seen all of them yet so as soon as she sends us the link to the rest of the photos I will post some more. I love what I've seen so far so I can't wait to see the ones with Steve and I both in them. FYI, I am 34 weeks in these photos.

Baby update...I am 35 weeks as of yesterday. Steve and I go to the doctor this morning where we will find out how my pregnancy is progressing. I'm less than 5 weeks away from my due date, but we'll see if London decides to come early. For my sake...and my sanity, I hope she does. Being miserable and uncomfortable is making me whiney and I hate being whiney!!!!

Gifts for little L (London)
My husband has so lovingly called me a slacker the past few weeks because of my lack of blogging. So, I thought since I was in the mood to write a few words I would give you all an update on my pregnancy and post a few photos of the most awesomest baby shower ever :)
For the those of you who haven’t seen me in a while, my belly feels like it has doubled in size in the last two weeks, and I am no longer carrying our little bundle of joy high as she is quickly making her descent to the nether regions! Haha Because of that, my easy pregnancy is becoming more difficult to manage as I become more uncomfortable and miserable. Two nights ago I was lying in bed on my side crying because everything hurt, and was uncomfortable and it was the most miserable I have ever felt in my life. The only thing that help me fall asleep was my loving husband rubbing my back for about 30 minutes which soothed me and apparently caused me to snore…the first time I’ve ever snored in my life! But oh how I wish that feeling of peace would have continued as I counted the 8th, 9th, 10th time I got out of bed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I stopped counting after that.
I’ve also been plagued with the ever present cankles and swelling. Since my last doctor’s visit which was two weeks ago, I’ve put on 7 pounds of fluid. My hands, feet and face continue to swell which is very uncomfortable. My wedding ring got stuck on my hand last Sunday and those who know me well know I get freaked out when anything gets stuck on my finger…and when I say freak out…I mean I panic. My worst enemy is probably a Chinese Finger trap. The worst part about the swelling is my stressing that there is something wrong. Not only have I had sudden swelling, but I’ve also had blurred vision and headaches which are all signs of pregnancy disorders such as preeclampsia, pregnancy induced hypertension and toxemia, which could be bad for the baby and myself…and more than likely could lead to being put on bed rest. Fortunately though I had a doctor’s appointment today and everything checks out. My blood pressure is low 90/60 which is normal for me, the baby’s heart rate was in the 150’s, I am measuring exactly where I need to be at 33 weeks, and there were no abnormalities in my labs. This means no bed rest, and no pregnancy related problems. Thank you God! J She did however tell me that I needed to rest as much as possible which seems quite impossible for me during wedding season. Fortunately mom and I are working out a solution…I love my mom!
Ok, so now, on to my kick ass shower! Is it wrong to say that my shower was kick ass??
First of all, I want to thank everyone who came to the shower and even those who were there in spirit. I can’t thank you enough for the gifts, the love and the support that you have all given and shown me throughout this whole process. I am truly blessed to have amazing friends like you! I also want to give a special thanks to Mary Crosby for hosting the most kick ass shower of all time! I couldn’t have asked for anything more…it was perfect and exactly what I was hoping for :) You’re awesome FatB!
